Dear Department for Work and Pensions, many claimants submit a mountain of evidence to support their claim for PIP or ESA along with sick notes advising the patient not to work, is this evidence read and is the decision based on the evidence of specialists and surgeons well experienced and trained in their own field of expertise, or does the non medically trained decision maker just use the report from the assessor?
