Regardless of the length, all Tacoma beds are made from rugged sheet-molded composite, fitted with an adjustable tie-down system. The Tacoma has a time-tested ladder-frame platform with a leaf-spring rear suspension that uses staggered outboard-mounted gas shocks.
Access Cab models can accommodate four passengers, but the rear seat is very cramped. The four-door Double Cab will hold up to five passengers. The Tacoma's purposeful styling reflects a go-anywhere attitude, even on models that will never turn a wheel in the mud. The six trim levels, two cab styles, and two wheelbase lengths make for numerous configurations. Nearly all trims offer either rear-drive or part-time four-wheel drive. The exception is the TRD Pro, which is four-wheel-drive only.
The SR5 is both the popular trim and our favorite for the value. It comes equipped with power windows, power door locks, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a tilt-telescoping steering wheel with audio controls.
A 7-inch touchscreen and a variety of standard safety systems are also part of the package. It even gets driver safety features like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert, and automatic high beams. The bed's deck rail system includes four tie-down cleats, allowing owners to secure cargo quickly.
Buyers can also add a navigation system and choose different wheels. The Trail offers four exterior color choices, black exterior badging and black fabric-covered seats with tan stitching. It's our favorite Tacoma package, with the standard SR5 as our second choice. It comes with an electronically-locking rear differential, selectable driving modes based on terrain difficulty, a way power driver's seat, machined alloy wheels, and rugged tires.
It also has a panoramic-view camera, LED headlights, chrome exterior accents, color-keyed bumpers, a power sliding sunroof, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a JBL premium audio system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Tacoma Nightshade Edition is a variation on the Limited model. It features black leather seats, "Dark Smoke" inch alloy wheels, and a dark chrome grille available in either rear-drive or four-wheel-drive.
The top-of-the-line TRD Pro is for the most demanding off-road situations. The Tacoma has a robust array of driver aids and safety systems, including standard adaptive cruise control and a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection as part of the standard Toyota Safety Sense system.
The Starting Market Average is a proprietary mathematical calculation based on actual recent transactions. It provides a statistically accurate understanding of what other buyers are paying for the least expensive configuration of this vehicle. Adjustments to the calculation beyond make, model, and trim are normalized based on detailed, anonymized transaction information.
This accounts for the fact that most or all recently-sold vehicles included different option combinations. The data underlying the Starting Market Average calculation are filtered for extreme outliers and subjected to a weighted averaging process that considers factors such as the recency of transactions and the timing of data lags. In certain instances, the calculated result is adjusted to take account of abrupt changes in the market that may not yet be fully reflected by recent transaction prices.

Looking at Tacoma but I have been out of the loop it seems, can someone tell me why these are going at or above MSRP in a Pandemic?
