When does allentown pools open

With summer finally here, Allentown residents can be excited as local summer attractions open up once again. The Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation announced city pools and spray parks' opening information for the season on Thursday. The city announced their two spray parks located in Bucky Boyle Park and the Old Fairgrounds Playground will expand their hours this season, opening from 10 a.

Bucky Boyle Park will open for the season after piping repairs are completed, officials state. Admission for the season is restricted to Allentown residents only, according to official statements. They say an Allentown resident is defined as an individual living within city of Allentown limits. Season pass holders will be able to register for daily slots to guarantee admission for the day, while daily admission will be on a first come first serve basis until legal capacity is reached.
